Queen Street and Wynyard Quarter
Fat Pukus Smashed Burgers
Colourful pots showcasing old school 80’s hip hop, Fat Pukus Queen Street was one of our first larger hospitality projects. Our play on the defiant vibe of the era was putting two XL Lady Palms in some pots sprayed by a New Zealand street artist. These high end Lady Palms are normally seen in places like The Palm Court at the Plaza in NYC, but no - you’ll find them just below the gold framed painting of owner V’s beautiful cat, who the restaurants are named after.
Fat Pukus Wynyard has one of the largest Monstera Thai Constellation’s seen in any hospitality space, you’ll often see it on their socials as a backdrop for customers sharing their food on Instagram. Our brief at Wynyard was to bring full multiplanted dense greenery and The Plant Parlour delivered.

AHI Restaurant
The New Zealand Plant Story installed at AHI showcases New Zealand’s Native plants and the naturally occurring tones, textures and colours of New Zealand and its landscape. Inspired from the Tongariro Crossing which crosses layers of Alpine Landscape, dense Native Bush and also geothermal areas, the plant styling at AHI celebrates the complexity and diversity of New Zealand’s natural landscape.

ORIGINE
Over several years The Plant Parlour has worked to complete the full scale interior planting and installation at Origine in stages. Now fully complete we have been enjoying watching the large trailing Cissus and flowering Hoya grow further into the restaurant space. Working within a large hospitality space presents unique challenges and The Plant Parlour works around the hours of Origine opening, including early on weekends so they can have their plants looking beautiful, lush and flourishing all year around.

On our Residential Projects, we created privacy with style through the use of clusters of pots and dense multiplanting on these apartment exteriors. With the increase of denser urban living and the loss of larger exterior gardens, being able to create a space where you can enjoy greenery in your urban home is so important.

Ellerslie Racecourse
Champions Day
Our first large events package we completed was for the Ellerslie Events Champions Day 2025 in The Ned Fashion Garden. Using a bespoke styling plan for the space we used large statement Palms to frame the area. The Plant Parlour completed final styling on site, delivery, collection and sourcing of all large plants and pots for this bespoke styling for this event.
